What Are Dermal Fillers?
The most common dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid. This molecule also occurs in the skin, where it helps to attract and hold moisture. Dermal fillers can add volume to many areas of the face, including the nasolabial folds (the creases between the nose and mouth corners), around the mouth, and in the lips, cheeks, and other areas. Dermal fillers have become a popular cosmetic procedure due to their immediate and satisfying results.
How Much Are Dermal Fillers?
According to Canadian Living, dermal fillers, on average, cost $600 to $800 for a one cubic centimeter vial. Depending on how many areas you have treated and how much filler you need to achieve your results, you may need more than one vial during your treatment. This cost can also vary depending on the type of dermal filler you receive.
What Types of Dermal Fillers are There?
At Luminesse Laser & Skin Clinic, we offer the Restylane® family of fillers as well as Belotero®. These have different applications for different areas of the face. Below are just some of your options:
Belotero®
Its unique formula makes Belotero® suitable for many areas of the face. Its smooth gel integrates with the skin to provide natural-looking results that move with your face, and it works for nasolabial folds and lines around the mouth.
Restylane® Kysse
The lip-plumping effects of this formula can give you the full pout you wish for. The soft, flexible formula makes sure your lips move naturally and maintain their kissable feel.
Restylane® Refyne and Defyne
These sturdier formulas can be used to treat nasolabial folds as well as deep lines and wrinkles elsewhere on the face. They can also be used to add volume to areas like the cheeks and chin to improve contouring.
Restylane® Contour
As we age, cheeks lose volume and can start to look hollow. This dermal filler formula restores lost volume to the cheeks to give them a rounder, more youthful appearance.
Restylane® Lyft
This formula can be used in several areas of the face, but it has also been approved for use on the hands, unlike most other dermal fillers. It can restore smoothness and give you younger-looking hands.
