What are the Benefits of a HydraFacial®?
A HydraFacial® can help clear up your skin using a three-step process that cleanses and exfoliates, extracts and hydrates. But what are the benefits of a HydraFacial®?
How Does HydraFacial® Treatment Work?
At Luminesse Laser & Skin Clinic, we offer HydraFacial® treatments, which is a three-step process that removes dead skin cells. The first step of a HydraFacial® includes a Vortex-Fusion wand that uses suction to deep clean any oil and dirt. This is followed by a cleansing and gentle exfoliation and peel. Lastly, a serum is applied to the skin for maximum hydration.
A HydraFacial® treatment can use a variety of serums to further enhance your results. During your consultation, serums most suitable for your needs will be discussed with one of our aestheticians.
What are the Benefits of a HydraFacial®?
There are many benefits to a HydraFacial® treatment, the overarching benefit being glowing, youthful skin in just one session. Other benefits include:
- Quick visible results after just one treatment
- Works on all skin tones and types
- No downtime from a HydraFacial®
- Your skin will be boosted with hydration
- Clears clogged pores
- It’s a safe, non-invasive procedure
According to Healthline, a HydraFacial® can also improve blackheads, be an effective treatment for rosacea, and help with anti-aging. This treatment is a type of microdermabrasion, a technique that uses a minimally abrasive device to gently exfoliate the skin. Microdermabrasion with a HydraFacial® treatment helps to remove the dead skin cells off the surface of the skin for a healthier, smoother skin. This technique can also help helpful for certain types of rosacea.
The extraction step of a HydraFacial® suctions away excess skin cells, sebum, and blackheads from the surface of the skin, leaving your skin looking more youthful and refreshed. These treatments can also make pores appear smaller and improve the absorption of skincare products.
Specific serum can be added to your treatment to minimize the appearance of acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, or reduce the damage from sun exposure.
What is HydraFacial® Treatment Like?
The Vortex-Fusion wand first cleanses the skin of any impurities and includes a peel solution.
You may feel a slight tugging sensation with your HydraFacial®, but overall it should not irritate the skin or cause discomfort. The procedure takes an hour to complete, with no downtime.
With this treatment, a serum is applied to the skin to hydrate and target further skincare concerns. The serum can improve dark spots from sun damage, in addition to fine lines and wrinkles or even acne. During your consultation, the most suitable serum for your skin type will be discussed. A slight tingling from the serum may be experienced, but little to no discomfort is typical of a HydraFacial® treatment.
