PicoWay® Laser

This FDA-cleared picosecond laser uses ultra-short pulses of energy. They create a photoacoustic effect that generates no heat, so you feel comfortable throughout your treatment. The photoacoustic effect creates spaces in the layers beneath the skin’s surface, and these spaces trigger increased collagen production. As a result, the PicoWay® laser can treat dark spots, wrinkles, and acne scarring with little to no downtime.

Most individuals are candidates for the PicoWay® laser. We recommend that you have no serious medical conditions and are not pregnant. PicoWay® is safe for most skin types and tones. It works well for people looking for firmer, smoother skin or those with hyperpigmentation.

Depending on the intensity required, your PicoWay® treatment may feel very little. Some note a feeling like the snap of a rubber band. Treatments typically last 20 to 30 minutes. We recommend a dermatologist-approved SPF to protect your new collagen as it develops.

You can return to your daily routine after your PicoWay® treatment. Your skin might feel sensitive or look slightly red for a few hours, but you can resume all your usual activities, including makeup application the day following your treatment.

Several treatments are required to achieve desired results. The number of treatments will depend on the condition of the skin. Results are seen a few weeks following your first treatment. During this time, your skin cells begin to produce new collagen, and the body removes unwanted pigment. Your results will continue to improve for three to six months after your last treatment, as new collagen is produced.
