The truSculpt® iD uses RF energy to selectively target fat. Because skin and fat heat up at different wavelengths, the energy leaves the skin unharmed and targets only the fat cells . Fat cells reach a temperature that permanently destroys them, while skin cells only feel warm.

While this treatment destroys fat cells,  the body’s natural filtering system will keep removing these fat cells for up to three months . As the cells are removed, the appearance of the treated area continues to improve. 

The ideal candidate for body contouring has specific areas of fat they would like to reduce. This is not a weight loss procedure , so individuals should be close to their ideal weight and fitness goals before having this procedure.

A truSculpt® iD treatment lasts about 15 minutes for each area being treated. You should feel comfortable throughout the treatment. The truSculpt® iD RF energy can be adjusted to keep the skin temperature from becoming too hot. 

The transmitters are placed over the area to be treated, emitting the RF energy into the skin and adipose (fat) tissue . More than one area can be treated in one session.

There is no downtime and you can resume normal activities after this treatment. You may experience tenderness, redness, or a feeling of warmth on the treated area, which will quickly dissipate.

You can expect to see results develop gradually, with maximum results after 12 weeks . Most individuals will need more than one treatment to achieve their goals. 

The treatment can remove up to 24% of fat cells in the treated area. These cells must be naturally eliminated by the body, so your results will gradually become visible as the fat cells are cleared away. 

A healthy lifestyle must be followed to maintain and to keep these results. While the fat cells that have been removed will not come back, significant weight gain will increase the size of the remaining fat cells and affect the appearance of the treated areas.
