Few facial treatments can give you the immediate results you get from a microcurrent facial. This facial “workout” tones facial muscles while leaving skin smooth and glowing. Best of all, you will see some results right away, while others will continue to develop over the following weeks. A microcurrent facial offers one of the easiest and most painless methods of facial rejuvenation.

Dermal fillers can provide results, whether you want to diminish lines and wrinkles, achieve fuller, softer-looking lips, or restore lost volume to facial features. Dermal fillers come in a range of formulas so that we can choose the ideal one for your treatment

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?

We offer two types of dermal fillers, Belotero® and Restylane®. Both are made of hyaluronic acid, the most popular dermal filler material. This molecule occurs as a natural part of the skin’s structure, and it attracts and holds moisture, making the skin fuller and more hydrated.  While both contain the same material, the formulations work differently for better results in different areas.

Belotero® excels at filling deep lines and wrinkles. Its soft gel formula works well for difficult areas. Restylane® encompasses a family of dermal fillers and can address lines and wrinkles around the mouth, enhance the lips, and add volume. The hyaluronic acid in both formulas works with the skin to add immediate volume, then draws in additional volume as the hyaluronic acid attracts moisture. This lifts the skin from beneath, filling in the lines and wrinkles and diminishing their appearance.

What to Expect After Dermal Fillers

Your dermal filler session will last about half an hour, depending on how many injections you need. Some of the injections contain lidocaine, so each one makes the following ones more comfortable. Because of the lidocaine, you may have some mild numbness right after the treatment that will wear off within a few hours.

The most common effects people notice after dermal fillers are mild swelling, bruising, or soreness. These will resolve on their own and will only last for a few days. You will be able to see your results immediately after your session, with lines and wrinkles diminished right away. Unlike some dermal filler materials, hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body, so the chances of causing a reaction are almost nonexistent.

What is RF Microneedling?

RF (radiofrequency) microneedling combines two treatments to enhance your overall results. Microneedling penetrates the skin to create channels that trigger healing and rejuvenation, while the radiofrequency energy uses controlled damage to stimulate collagen production to tighten and firm the skin. For people who want to see tighter, more energized and youthful skin, RF microneedling offers an excellent option.

How Does RF Microneedling Work?

At Luminesse Laser, we use the Secret™ RF microneedling system. The Secret™RF offers a wide range of settings to let your aesthetician precisely tailor the size of the treatment area, the depth of the needles, and the choice of partially insulated needles to make treatment safer for those more prone to develop pigmentation.

The needles used in microneedling penetrate less than half a millimeter into the skin, creating tiny channels that trigger the skin’s natural repair process. The needles also emit RF energy, which triggers cells in the deeper layers of the skin to produce more collagen. This collagen provides the skin with firmness, support, and lift.

How Much is RF Microneedling?

Costs of RF microneedling will vary depending on the size of the areas you have treated. Factors also include your location, your provider, and associated costs. RealSelf estimates the average price for Secret™RF as $1175, with variations from $500 to $2100. During your consultation, we can provide you with a more accurate estimate.
